Join in with Worcester Arts Workshop’s online courses
Worcester Arts Workshop is bringing a burst of creativity directly to your screens. Following the success of the first set of online courses, there is a new series of workshops running throughout July.
Participants can choose from a Turner-inspired Watercolour Course and a Creative Writing Course, perfect for beginners hoping to unlock their story.
An Introduction to Painting Watercolour Landscapes, Inspired by Turner is an enjoyable course that will guide budding artists through the basic watercolour techniques. There will be practical advice on drawing out and planning a painting, colour mixing, washes, painting in detail and producing a final piece.
Running on Wednesdays until 8 July, 7-8pm, it costs £10 in total for all three sessions (plus booking fee).
Taking place across 5 weekly sessions, Creative Writing for Beginners will help to unlock that idea and find the story you’ve always wanted to write.
Course tutor, published writer, playwright and dramaturg, Caroline Jester will guide participants to develop their ideas and commit them to paper. Exploring how to structure ideas using exercises and resources, by the end of the course writers will have material to share and a roadmap on how to take it to the next stage, and to keep writing.
Whether your ideas are prose, drama or poetry, this course is about unearthing the story and testing out the best way to tell that story. Suitable for over 18s
Running on Thursdays 2 to 30 July, 7-8pm, it costs £25 in total for all five sessions (plus booking fee).
Both courses take place via Zoom so all participants will require a Smartphone, tablet or computer with the Zoom app downloaded. To book a space or for further information visit www.worcesterartsworkshop.org.uk/adult-courses/
