Worcester Music Festival has revealed that Worcester Snoezelen will be the official charity for this year’s event, with all fundraising from the festival, running from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th September, dedicated to supporting this invaluable local organisation.

Taking place across 20 diverse venues in Worcester’s bustling city centre, the festival will once again shine a spotlight on almost 300 incredible artists while championing an important community cause. The decision on which charity to support was a difficult one, but the life-changing work of Worcester Snoezelen deeply resonated with the festival’s committee.

Worcester Snoezelen is a leisure therapy centre offering a range of multi-sensory experiences designed to empower individuals, encourage creativity, and provide alternative ways to communicate. It provides a safe and welcoming environment where children and adults with learning disabilities and additional needs can engage in sensory-based activities that bring joy and enrichment.

Jane Roberts, Chief Officer at Worcester Snoezelen, commented:

“We are absolutely delighted to be Worcester Music Festival‘s charity of the year.  Music can break down those communication barriers – a common language we can all experience and enjoy regardless of disability or difference. We have a very active music service and many of our members are going to really enjoy getting involved.”

Ant Robbins, Director of Worcester Music Festival, added:

“Our festival is built on the principle of supporting the local community, and we’re incredibly proud to be fundraising for Worcester Snoezelen this year. Their work is truly life-changing for so many individuals and families, and we hope to make a real difference through our efforts.

“To make the biggest impact possible, we’re inviting artists and musicians of all genres to take part in this year’s festival. Every year, we are inspired by the generosity of performers who donate their time to support important local causes, and we can’t wait to see the incredible talent that comes forward in 2025.”

Musicians interested in performing are encouraged to apply via the festival’s website, where a curated line-up will be carefully selected by local promoters. This ensures a diverse and exciting programme that continues to draw thousands of music lovers to the city each year. Worcester Music Festival has firmly established itself as a highlight of the region’s cultural calendar, offering an eclectic mix of live music in unique and unexpected spaces, from traditional pubs and music venues to art galleries, independent shops, and community hubs. Last year’s event featured over 250 performances, creating an electric atmosphere throughout Worcester.
