Worcester Music Festival has opened applications for charities to become the chosen cause for 2025.
Each year, the festival supports a different local charity, raising funds and awareness during the three-day event. In 2025, the festival will take place from 12th–14th September in Worcester’s vibrant city centre. Charities interested in applying must submit their applications by 1st February 2025.
The 2024 festival made a significant impact on its selected charity, the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Motor Neurone Disease Association. Over the weekend, the festival raised an impressive £5,556.33 while highlighting the charity’s essential work to thousands of attendees.
Ant Robbins, Festival Director, commented:
“We had an amazing festival in 2024, raising a record-breaking amount of money over the weekend. The Herefordshire & Worcestershire MND Association plays a crucial role in supporting individuals living with motor neurone disease in our community through support groups, grants, and other vital initiatives. Thanks to the generosity of festival goers in 2024, the charity has been able to launch a new support group, extending their reach and offering assistance to even more local people affected by MND.”
Em Branson, Marketing Director, added:
“As we prepare for the 2025 Worcester Music Festival, we’re on the lookout for a cause that truly makes a difference to our community. Charities, this is your moment! We’re dedicated to supporting those in the local area and invite all Worcestershire-based charitable organisations to apply. Your cause could be the one we champion this year!”
Charities are invited to complete the festival’s application form, providing information on their work, who they help, and, most importantly, whether they have a specific project they need support with. In previous years, the festival has supported charities including Worcester Community Trust, Worcester Foodbank, and The Myriad Centre.

Each year, Worcester Music Festival depends on the generosity of the public to raise funds for its chosen cause. Donation tins are placed across the festival’s 20 venues, while a vibrant team in creative costumes roams the city centre with donation buckets, adding to the festival’s lively atmosphere.
Since its launch in 2008, the festival has grown from a small gathering of venues and artists into a weekend-long celebration of music and community. Supporting both the local music scene and worthy causes, the event now features over 250 artists performing across 20 venues in the heart of Worcester, offering a platform for talent and a way to give back.
