Worcester Music Festival is excited to announce that applications are now being accepted from charitable organizations vying to be this year’s designated cause. Set to unfold from September 13th to 15th, 2024, in the vibrant city centre of Worcester, the three-day event is a celebration of music that also serves as a platform to raise funds and awareness for a local charity. The application deadline is February 10th, 2023.
In the previous year’s festival, The Myriad Centre was the beneficiary of the weekend-long musical extravaganza, reaping the rewards of both a remarkable £5,345.90 in funds and increased visibility for its crucial work, reaching thousands of festival-goers.
Ant Robbins, Festival Director, commented:
“We had an amazing festival in 2023, raising the most amount of money over the weekend in the festival’s history. The Myriad Centre carries out vital work in the local area, providing specialist care for young people with serious disabilities and an emotional lifeline for their families. Having seen first-hand the impact this charity has on its service users, we are incredibly proud to have been able to support their ongoing work.”
Em Branson, Marketing Director, added:
“As we gear up for the 2024 Worcester Music Festival, we’re searching for a cause that matters. Charities, this is your cue! We’re all about supporting our community, and invite all charitable causes in Worcestershire to apply – your cause could be the one we rally behind this year!”
Charities interested in being considered for the festival’s support can complete the application form, detailing their mission, the demographic they serve, and any specific projects requiring assistance. In previous years, the beneficiaries of the festival include Worcester Community Trust, Worcester Foodbank, and Worcestershire Association of Carers.
The success of the festival depends on the generosity of the public, with charity donation tins strategically placed across the 20 festival venues. The creative team, donned in eye-catching costumes, actively engages with festival-goers, encouraging contributions to support the chosen cause.
