New Era for Worcester & Bromsgrove Rock School as New Owners Amp Up for a Rocking Term Starting September 28th
Worcester & Bromsgrove Rock School kicks off a brand-new term on the 28th of September, under the helm of its dynamic new owners, who are cranking things up to 11. Jess Allen, Dean McCreadie, and Rhys Stansfield, all accomplished musicians, have recently taken over the reins from former proprietor Brian Hoggard as of July 2024. As first-time co-owners and tutors, they are thrilled to continue fostering the talents of young, aspiring rockers aged 8 to 18.
Running every Saturday over the course of 10 weeks, this programme sees budding musicians grouped into bands, each featuring drums, bass, guitar, and vocals. Under the guidance of their professional team, the students hone their skills, working together to master a selection of songs, which will culminate in an end-of-term performance – an exciting showcase of their progress and teamwork.
Established in 1997, the local Rock School enjoys a long-standing reputation within the community, boasting renowned drummer Jason Bowld (of Bullet For My Valentine fame) as its patron. Sessions are held at Christopher Whitehead Language College in Worcester and Bromsgrove St Peter’s Catholic First School. The Juniors meet from 10:30 to 11:30, while the Seniors follow from 11:30 to 1:30.
