Worcester Electronic Music Collective WVFRMS team up with DIY Promoter Surprise Attacks for their third live event.
Hosted at Spin The Black Circle Record Shop & Cafe, the nights focus is on DIY, underground and experimental live electronic music, supporting local artists and performers and building a local community for all electronic music lovers. The nights have been packed so far so be sure to arrive early to avoid disappointment as there is limited capacity.
Vic Smith, also known as SeqBeat, is an electronic musician from the Midlands. Having played traditional folk, rock and funk all his life, he branched out into modular synthesis in 2017, originally with the idea of forming a live dubstep band. That band turned out to be short lived, but it led to a continued interest and experimentation in modular and an expanding system of modules and cases. He now performs his own electronic mash of styles solo, as well as using the modular and electronic influence in other fusion lineups.
LX Nen isn’t real. He’s just a jumble of letters taken from a car number plate. Despite that, LX Nen has drunk over 49,400 cups of tea and has been in a permanent state of nearly having finished his first ‘proper’ album since sometime in 2002.
LX Nen no longer lives in Romford, but he does have a visual tour of Romford recorded for posterity at lxnen.com
Garageband.com users voted LX’s “D G L” as the 648th best electronica track of all time.

Luke Bishop aka Singular, produces intricate electronic soundscapes which are both ambient and dance floor driven. Intelligent use of layered reversed samples gives a nod to a golden era of IDM, bringing to mind acts such as Four Tet, Caribou and Autechre. Not to be missed!
