An artist I’ve personally been following for a couple of years, Katherine Priddy’s music certainly soothes the soul. Folk music at it’s finest, Katherine’s vocals and finger-style guitar playing feels up there with the greats, and it’ll come at no surprise that Katherine’s being noticed across the whole country. Featured on BBC Radio 2, as well as festivals across the UK, this songwriter is destined to have her name in lights. Now back with her first single of the year, Priddy returns with warm new single ‘Still Winter, Still Waiting’.
An uplifting seasonal song about being apart from your loved one this Winter, the relatable number feels important. During these tough times, the song feels a saviour in disguise and something to stick on when feeling blue. Accompanied with gorgeous strings from Harry Fausing Smith, the overall arrangement is absolutely sublime. Katherine’s iconic vocals soar with ease and harmonise together perfectly. While the track tells the tale of loneliness, longing and patience, ‘Still Winter, Still Waiting’ accepts the cold weather and turns it into warmth. Guiding listeners through the hardest time of the year, Katherine Priddy does it again with an exquisite new single that’s destined to gain worldwide support.
