Bryony Williams’ new single and title track of her upcoming album, You Are Here, serves as a reminder for us to appreciate every moment along whatever journey life takes us on. As an avid traveller myself I can easily imagine walking through an unknown place, sun warming my skin, headphones in, and listening to this track. The track is both comforting and thought provoking, as we are reminded to ‘breathe’ & ‘listen to the trees’ It’s easy to see how we get wrapped up in our busy lives and forget to enjoy the beauty around us.
Bryony’s inspiration for this song came while walking the Camino Del Norte in 2021. The route follows the stunning northern coastline of Spain and stretches a grulling 803km. Bryony shared this experience of it “After walking on average 30km a day for 4 weeks, your mind stops wandering after a while, and your thoughts are simply reduced to your earthly surroundings of nature’s elements.”
Accompanied by clips of her time in the Swiss Alps & Northern Italy, the music video for You Are Here transports the listener and viewer to their own travel memories, providing the warm comfort of both familiarity and excitement.
