Like so many community centres across the country we were (Malvern Cube) desperately sad to close our doors in response to the Covid 19 epidemic. It seems hard to believe that just a few weeks ago the Cube was so busy with our café, events and classes, and, having just taken on our new centre manager, we were making exciting plans for the future. But while our doors may be closed at present there is plenty happening behind the scenes, which you can read about below.
Trustees, workers and volunteers are staying in regular contact, thanks to modern technology, and we’re monitoring the situation and planning for when and how we can re-open.
These are difficult times but we’ve been really encouraged by the offers of help from the local community and our hirers. These small acts of kindness really do make a big difference. We have neighbours keeping an eye on the building, police patrolling regularly, volunteers helping to water pots and garden our veg beds, and people offering practical help for when we re-open.
It’s great to be part of such an amazing community and we’re looking forward to being able to open our doors to you all again.
