Severn Arts and the Worcestershire Music Education Hub recognise that this is a particularly difficult time for Worcestershire’s freelance musicians and small music organisations who may be struggling, so we are offering grants of £300 per artist/organisation to create a piece of work for schools that can be shared digitally. This can be any style, we just ask that it is a new idea that focuses on the theme of #KeepMakingMusic.
If you would like to apply for this grant please just send an email marked Keep Making Music to Debbie Fawcett at d.fawcett@severnarts.org.uk outlining your idea and how you would share it digitally with schools.
The deadline for submissions is 9.00am on Wednesday 22nd April and we would like to see projects delivered by the end of May. The idea is to create a body of work that can go out over this immediate emergency period and help to maintain the profile of music with our school communities.
Please note this funding is only open to musicians and music-focused organisations that live and work in Worcestershire and not to teachers, unless it is directly benefitting schools over and above online teaching.
