Saturday 19th April at Friary Walk, Worcester

Worcester Festival’s last Easter event is happening this Saturday at Friary Walk (formerly Crowngate), 11am–3pm, with plenty of family-friendly fun. Funky Faces will be offering free face painting—become a bunny, unicorn, or even Spiderman! No age limit, so grown-ups can join in too. Kids can also decorate a biscuit—choose a bunny, butterfly, egg or flower and get creative with icing and sprinkles (limited availability, no booking needed).

The popular tombola returns—£1 for four tickets could win you anything from wine to jelly. Plus, enjoy fete-style games like hook-a-duck, Easter darts, and guessing games starting from just 50p (cash and card accepted).

Don’t miss the Grand Raffle—£1 a ticket for a chance to win £100 holiday vouchers, garden centre gift cards and more. Tickets available on the day or online at worcesterfestival.co.uk/grand-raffle.

The Worcester Festival runs every August with 17 days of mostly free events. Due to funding cuts, fundraisers like this help keep the Festival alive. As a spokesperson said, “This Saturday is a brilliant way to brighten the holidays while supporting summer’s big event.”

This year the Festival saw a sizable cut in its funding but is determined to continue to provide events for the people of Worcester, to do this they have chosen to host fundraisers outside of the Festival. A spokesperson said: “We have had great success with our two fundraisers already this year and this Saturday provides a brilliant opportunity for us to brighten up the Easter Holidays while raising some funds for the main Festival in the Summer.”
