Sanctum Sancturium @ the salubrious Watson Hall, Tewkesbury
Friday 12th April 2024, 7:30pm
At the start of a new financial year we all need something to invest in and once again Mel Hardy is banking on a tried and tested winner…
Thankfully, To Have and To Hold Records, Tewkesbury’s independent record shop have allowed their 80s fixation to manifest itself on stage. For one night only the distinguished band Sanctum Sancturium will take to the Watson Hall stage (The holiest of holy places) and fill our worthy Hall with live songs from the darkside of the 80s.
If your eyeliner-enhanced eyes become teary at the memory of Sisters of Mercy; if you doffed your black leather cowboy hat to the Cult; if you painted your finger-nails a delicate hue of black in homage to Bauhaus…no buts, this is the band for you: Sanctum Sancturium.
Sanctum Sancturium have made a name for themselves due to their eye for detail with their outlandish outfits and stage craft – don’t believe me? – check-out their Youtube footage. This band is deadly serious about having fun. Funnily enough the band is just as forensic in their delivery, performance and musicality of their chosen songs. Unapologetically, your air guitar will prove useful for the opening of She Sells Sanctuary- so come prepared.
Prior preparation prevents poor performance and Sanctum Sancturium promise an excellent night of entertainment. Tickets are available online and in the To Have and To Hold shop alongside the memorial cross in Tewkesbury.
To help in the current financial climate Mel is giving away two pairs of tickets. Just pop into the THATH’s HQ and inform Mel where Bauhaus took their name from? Your name will be then added to the hat and the lucky winners will be informed on the FB page. Blimey, let’s be honest, even more exciting than discovering your mortgage has dropped by 00.02%.
Tickets available on line in advance.
