Award-winning singer-songwriter Eli Lev’s heartfelt lyrics and infectious folk sensibility have made him a beloved global artist.
Over the past five years, the Maryland-based musician released Four Directions, a debut spanning four conceptual EPs (All Roads East 2017, Way Out West 2018, Deep South 2019, True North 2021), inspired by indigenous traditions he encountered while teaching on the Navajo Nation. This collection, praised for its authenticity, bridges generations and cultures.
Raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, Eli’s diverse background shaped his global outlook. Before pursuing music, he studied in Indiana, taught in the U.S., lived abroad, and earned a Master’s in English Education.
His latest release, Walk. Talk. Dance. Sing. (2022), is a five-song collection reflecting on the pandemic, blending folk with pop, indie, and Caribbean influences. Standouts include Be Your Someone, Move As You Do, and Singing Along for the First Time, featuring fiddler Crosby Cofod. The EP captures the emotional turbulence of the global crisis while paying homage to classic mixtapes.
Eli has earned acclaim from American Songwriter, Paste Magazine, and others. His 2019 album Way Out West won a WAMMIE for Best Country/Americana Album, while Chasing Daylight won the SAW Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Competition. In 2021, he was named Best Pop Artist at the WAMMIE Awards.
A passionate touring artist, Eli has played at renowned venues like the Kennedy Centre and 9:30 Club, performing internationally and connecting with diverse audiences. His grassroots approach sustains his career, supported by his fan community, The Levitators. He also mentors fellow artists as a coach for Modern Musician.
With upcoming projects—including Three Worlds, Two Friends, and One Road—Eli remains grateful for the community he has built. His latest solo release, Dancin’ On The Lawn, radiates pure joy, its upbeat melody exuding happiness in every note.
For Eli Lev, music is more than passion—it’s a shared journey, uniting people across cultures and continents.
