Electro-pop singer-songwriter Darla Jade is back at it again releasing outstanding music. Titled ‘Ghost In Me’, the new single is fuelled with cutting lyrics and haunting tones. Following in the footsteps of previous single ‘Overcrowded’ and ‘Forget You Not’, ‘Ghost In Me’ features a darker tone to Darla’s ever-growing songwriting. Written by Darla, she also teamed up with Rhys Fletcher, Simon Pereira & Lucan Mills to write the track. Showing another side to Darla that we haven’t heard much of, the new track is bathed in melancholic tones but still holds up to Darla’s upbeat personality.
‘Ghost In Me’ is about the bitterness after losing someone and how it distorts the good memories once had. A track that’s far from bitter, ‘Ghost In Me’ highlights that electro-pop has found a new face. Hearing Darla’s vocals in a new light, her powerful vocals are truly exceptional in this release. Bathed in memorable vocal hooks, we will be happy if ‘Ghost In Me’ haunts us for the rest of our lives. A songwriter that knocks the ball out of the park each time she releases a new track, Darla Jade gets better and better with each release, if that’s even possible! Could Darla Jade become the next big thing? We think so.
