Dancefest Offers Free Classes in Celebration of Let’s Dance
Let’s Dance – Sunday, 2 March
In support of the Let’s Dance campaign, founded by Angela Rippon CBE, Dancefest is inviting the public to enjoy a free taster of their weekly dance classes.
Let’s Dance takes place on Sunday, 2 March, but Dancefest will extend the festivities throughout the week, encouraging everyone to discover the joy of movement at no cost.
Angela Rippon CBE, who reconnected with dance during her time on Strictly Come Dancing, witnessed firsthand the physical, mental, and social benefits of regular dancing. Inspired by her experience and the conversations it sparked across the UK, she joined forces with national organisations to launch Let’s Dance—a campaign dedicated to making dance accessible to all.
Elizabeth Crosswell, Dancefest’s Community Engagement Manager, says: “‘We’re thrilled to be a part of Let’s Dance, a brilliant initiative that’s got the nation talking about dance, and the incredible benefits of taking part, both physically and mentally.”
Dancefest offers a wide variety of classes for all ages, including contemporary technique, creative dance, exercise, youth dance, street dance, inclusive classes for people with learning disabilities, and gentle or seated dance.
