Interstellar Duo, consisting of sisters Charlotte and Heather Sterland, are known for their original compositions that blend classical, jazz, and folk influences. Their diverse projects include live concert tours, film soundtracks, and live stage and dance productions.
Performing vocal arrangements from their soundtrack album “Adventure 112,” the duo creates a folkloric stage atmosphere that is both charming and intriguing. Their music, inspired by varied experiences such as desert safaris, treks across dangerous moorlands, and beachside surfing, resonates with all listeners and often contains unexpected elements.
Recognised as finalists for UK Country Duo in 2022, their work has been praised for its beauty and haunting qualities, featuring precise vocal harmonies and ethereal instrumentals. Since their debut EP in 2016, they have released two more EPs and an album in 2022, which serves as the soundtrack to eight stop-motion short films titled “Adventure 112.”
Interstellar Duo has toured extensively throughout the UK and internationally, with notable performances including the Edinburgh Fringe in 2021 and their longstanding popular monthly live night in Soho, London, “Jazz and Games.”
