Shop Local for Christmas
Barbourne Artists’ Christmas Fair
St George’s Church, St George’s Square, on Saturday 2nd December from 10am-4pm
Six Barbourne Artists have formed a new artist group and they will be having their first fair at St George’s Church Hall, St George’s Square in Worcester on Saturday 2nd December from 10am-4pm. The artists will be selling a unique selection of creative Christmas gifts, and the bonus is that they are all locally made.
The artists include painters Cherrie Mansfield, Caroline Hall, Margaret Powell, Nicola Currie, Felicity Osborne and textile artist Jane Arthur. All of the artists are well established and they will be selling paintings, limited edition prints, coasters, mugs, cards, textiles, jewellery, cushions and notebooks.
Nicola said of the forthcoming event – “We know the benefits of shopping local and Worcester is a city with a thriving artist community. At this fair we aim to show the rich variety of personally made gifts to local people. If you are looking for stocking fillers, gifts for relatives and friends or a treat for yourself do come along.” Cherrie added “we aim to provide pieces to suit a wide variety of tastes and budgets without incurring postage, transport or gallery costs. This is so local that Felicity is wheeling the display boards for the show from RGS up the Tything!”
The event coincides with the Worcester Christmas Fair and so people can drop in on their way there.
