Severn Arts and West Mercia Youth Justice Service are seeking a visual artist to co-create indoor and outdoor wall artwork with young people at the Youth Justice Centre in Worcester. This project aims to transform the space into a welcoming and inspiring environment that gives ownership to the young people who use.
The commissioned artist will collaborate with young people to design and produce two artworks that reflect their ideas and creativity. The selected artist will be responsible for facilitating engaging co-creation workshops with the young people and transforming the walls using weatherproof and durable materials, ensuring the artworks are sustainable and low maintenance.
The aim is to create a vibrant, rehabilitative environment that the young people can feel proud of. The total fee for the commission is £5000, inclusive of workshops, materials and installation.
